As per Great-Grandma Anita's request:
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
I’m Dead!

She was still wearing her Hawaiian dress from Laura, Josh, and Kylee so we put on her snowsuit instead of making her put on winter clothes to run out to the mailbox. They are outside right now and if I am hearing correctly, they are playing in the snow a bit before they come inside. They just knocked on the window....I need to go and get some hot chocolate ready for when they come in :)
She was trying to make funny faces in this picture. (Thank you Grammy for teaching her this....)
Today we wrote out our Christmas list and mailed it to Santa. Alaina told me what she wanted and I wrote out the letter. Then she stuffed it into the envelope.

Showed it off:
And put a stamp on it.
You all know how I feel about going out in the cold, so the letter is sitting by the door for her and Daddy to bring it out to the mailbox. She also colored on the back of the envelope for Santa.

Last year when Alaina had her picture taken with Santa, she looked royally ticked off. The year before that I was able to get her to look happy, but she was really unsure of the big bearded man.
Here are the finished products.
On Monday we are making Rudolph ordaments. I just picked up the stuff this morning.
"Daddy is passed out" was what Laura said when she sent this picture:
"Just like her daddy" is what she wrote with this message.
Mama and baby are doing well. I have not heard yet about length, weight, time, or name. I will post again when I hear more or get more pictures.
You can't see much of her here either, but check out that smile!
Leo and I before we rushed back inside...
And my favorite picture of Leo.
Leo could barely walk in his snowpants and winter jacket. It was so cute to see him wobbling along!
They all went down the slide.
After Alaina went down, she made a snowball. Funny how fast kids learn that snow can be packed into balls that are great for throwing. Me, being an ignorant first time winter Mom, figured that would be something that you would teach kids to do....
They plowed our driveway today and the kids played in the snowpile.
Leo waddled out to try to play with them.
Leo LOVED the slide!!!
The kids had a blast jumping in the trampoline. Trampolines are a blast after it snows because when you jump, the snow bounces with you. Bandit didn't look too thrilled about being out though....
On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, the kids that I babysit for, my kids, and I made ornaments for the Christmas tree. I found a recipe and we made these:
Then Alaina dumped out the cinnamon and drew in it.....
We decorated the ornaments.
And here is how they turned out! :)
Daddy found Alaina like this after being in her room for an hour or so. She found an old baby hat, put it on, and swaddled her baby.
Alaina was holding Leo's hand and leading him around including him in her and Daddy's game of hide-and-go-seek.
Daddy and Leo.
Leo played with Bandit.
Dave goofed around with Alaina and his deer hunting hat.
Alaina was spinning and dancing.
Alaina and Leo in the leg warmers that I made for them. (They both really liked them!!)
Grammy dressed Bandit up this weekend.
Alaina helping Bandit model.
Grandpa, Leo, Bandit, and Alaina's Tinkerbell blanket :)
Alaina did crafts with Grammy.
Today Grandpa tried really hard to take a nap. Alaina tried just as hard to play with him. Daddy was out deer hunting, Leo was sleeping, and Grammy and Grandpa were watching the kids so that I could go to Starbucks and have coffee and read for a while. It was awesome. At least it was for Alaina and I....I wasn't there to protect Grandpa....

(and yes, that is another pair of leg warmers that I have over her tights)
I know I could probably sleep through that, but most people can't. After Grammy finished taking pictures, she distracted Alaina with more crafts so that Grandpa could get a little R&R without Alaina trying to keep him awake.
