Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!

Well, we finally have some snow to go with the cold weather here! It snowed a little a couple of nights ago and Dave took Alaina out to play in it. Leo and I snuck out for a few seconds to take pictures. Here is a picture of Alaina right before she went outside. You can't see much of her face to see if she is smiling or not, but I don't think she enjoyed the snow suit...
You can't see much of her here either, but check out that smile!

Leo and I before we rushed back inside...

Today I braved the snow with Leo, Alaina, and the 2 kids I babysit for. It took us 45 minutes to get snowsuits on everyone!! I felt so sorry for the kids who I dressed first!

Anyway, here is my favorite picture of Alaina.

And my favorite picture of Leo.

Alaina really enjoyed the snow. I was surprised. I thought it would be too cold for her.

Leo could barely walk in his snowpants and winter jacket. It was so cute to see him wobbling along!
They all went down the slide.

After Alaina went down, she made a snowball. Funny how fast kids learn that snow can be packed into balls that are great for throwing. Me, being an ignorant first time winter Mom, figured that would be something that you would teach kids to do....
They plowed our driveway today and the kids played in the snowpile.
Leo waddled out to try to play with them.
Leo LOVED the slide!!!
The kids had a blast jumping in the trampoline. Trampolines are a blast after it snows because when you jump, the snow bounces with you. Bandit didn't look too thrilled about being out though....

I was worried going out that Leo wouldn't like being outside in the snow. The few times he has been out in the cold, he has just cried. I'm glad to see that he likes it with his snowsuit on. Watching the kids walk around reminded me of Ralphie from A Christmas Story. Which, by the way, is the best Christmas movie ever! If you haven't seen it, watch for it on Christmas Eve. It plays on repeat for the whole day on TBS!!

I was out in the snow today too, but y'all had WAY more fun than me. I was shoveling our oversized driveway for an hour. Ugh. But hey, I did it!! Wa-hoo! I'm going to take the children out to play in the heap tomorrow; I was worried baby girl would hate it, but after seeing how much fun Alaina had I've got hope! :o)
