It's raining, it's pouring....Wait no......

IT'S SNOWING!!!!

That's right folks! It snowed last night and so we got up early to play in it before it all melted. I know that this isn't big new for those of you in Wisconsin or Minnesota, but it was pretty big news here. They even delayed schools around here until 10am. Seeing as I have lived in snowy regions for most of my life, I have to admit I saw the humor when Dave woke me up at 5:30 this morning and asked if I wanted to get up and see it AND I actually considered getting out of bed. That thought only lasted 3..ok maybe 5 seconds before I came to my senses and thought, "yeah, right..." Anyway, we all got up at about 6:15 or 6:30 so we could see and play in the snow before we took Dave to work.

As you can probably tell from the pictures, Alaina wasn't too thrilled with the snow. I think she would have liked it better if it was 80 degrees and snowing instead of 30. She would go outside for about 2 or 3 minutes and then run inside saying, "I cold!" As soon as she warmed up, she wanted to go out again. Dave had to walk out into the snow and call her over to get her to walk in the snow. Leo didn't seem too thrilled either, but he put up with being outside for a little bit. Long enough to at least get a picture of him with snow for the first time. Bandit loved the snow and spent all of the time running around in it. Hopefully next year when they have more time to get used to the cold temperature they will enjoy it more. As of right now, I have to say that they are Southerners at heart.

Can you tell who the only person having fun is?

Daddy trying to get Alaina to come on the snow.

Bad quality picture, but Alaina running to the safty (and warmth) of Daddy's arms.

Alaina getting ready to take off for the house...

...And Alaina running to get inside.

The ironic part of all of this is it is 53 and sunny right now with a high of 58 today and 63 tomorrow. That's the best part about snow in the south. You get it for long enough to enjoy it and then you have good weather.
