We welcomed David Leo Johnston into the world this morning at 8:27AM. He was 8lbs 15oz and 21 inches long. He is doing great and so is Wendy. Here are a few pictures from this morning.

More Santa Pictures

Santa came to a friend of ours' house tonight, so we have more Santa pictures. Merry Christmas!

Alaina saw Santa today....

And she wasn't too happy about it. She didn't cry, but we couldn't get her to stop glaring at the camera. This will be a picture to get out and laugh at when she is 16. My next post will probably be of the new baby. Only a day and a half left!!!! We hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

Christmas Cookies and the Park

I love it that we are able to make Christmas cookies one day and a few days later have a picnic at the park. Dave and Alaina made more Monster cookies a couple of weeks ago. No surprise, they are long gone now. We can't seem to keep them in the house for any length of time. Alaina enjoyed helping Daddy cook them.

Then, yesterday we met Dave at the park for a picnic lunch. They had so much fun running around. One of Alaina's favorite activities is going to the park with Daddy.

Baby Shower and Christmas #1

So, these are some pictures from the baby shower that Jodi threw for me and another army wife, Maria. It was a lot of fun. Also, here are a couple of pictures from our first Christmas this year. We celebrated last weekend when Laura and Josh came to visit. Alaina got several Disney DVDs, a book and the 4-wheeler. She seems to really enjoy them all. Speaking of Alaina, she just woke up, so this is all for now. I'll try to post more later tonight.

Me and Alaina

Dave was great enough to take some pictures of me and Alaina while I am pregnant. Yesterday Alaina spent about 5 minutes with her hand on my tummy while the baby was rolling around. Each time she felt the baby she said "Uh-Oh" or "Baby!" It was pretty cute. I think she understands that there is a baby now. Hopefully this baby will make his appearance soon!

Thanksgiving

Laura and Josh came to our house for Thanksgiving. Everything went almost without a hitch. My pregnancy mush brain showed up though during the cooking process. I could not get the green beans for the green bean cassarole to cook to save my life. I wound up having to strain out the green beans, boil them, and then remake the cassarole. Also, while that was going on, I put the rolls in to cook without removing the cling wrap....That didn't work too well. Anyway, here are a few cute pics of Laura, Josh, and Alaina. Hope all of your Thanksgivings were as great as ours!

Duck Pond Plus Some Other Pictures

First off, here are a few pictures that we took while we were at the duck pond. Alaina loves feeding the ducks and Bandit loved to chase them. Also, Bandit and Alaina lounging on the couch, and Dave and Alaina lounging.

Talledega Pictures

Here are a few pictures from our trip to the Talledega Nascar race. It was so much fun! We all really enjoyed seeing my parents again. Alaina did really well at the race. During the middle of the race it got pretty hot, so Mom and I took Alaina behind the bleachers to play in the shade. After it cooled off, Alaina did wonderful.

Trick-or-treating and the last couple of weeks

Alaina and Ava trick-or-treating. Alaina really enjoyed knocking and ringing the doorbells.

Alaina wasn't able to walk the whole way, so she caught a ride on Daddy's shoulders.

For the last couple of blocks, Dave was carrying both girls.

Alaina has been putting her chair right in front of the window lately and watching occasional traffic and kids playing.

Happy Halloween

Here are some pictures from Halloween morning and afternoon. We took some pictures at home and then went into work with Daddy to get some pictures with the trains. Alaina was thrilled to be dressed like everyone else at Daddy's work. I'll post more pics from trick-or-treating and from the last few weeks soon. Hopefully tomorrow, but that may be optimistic. Hope everything is going well with everyone and we hope you had a great halloween! Miss you all!

Hope everyone is doing well. Everything is going well here. It is still terribly hot (90s) every day and there is no sign of the cool front that they were predicting. I, for one, can't wait for fall weather.

Work has been busy for Dave lately. He is working 2nd shift and worked through last weekend. We are hoping he will get some of next weekend off. It looks like he will have Sunday off and he may have Saturday off as well. I know Alaina is ready for him to be home all day. I am too.
