Prince Leo

While going through the pictures from the last week or two, I realized I have many more pictures of Leo than Alaina. Here is how I found Leo a few days ago. I don't know if he set it all up or if Alaina did, but he was having a ball playing with and feeding the dolls.

(notice he is feeding the baby's eye)
Leo and Daddy cuddling on the couch.

My boys all smiles.

This is how I found Leo not too long ago. He had pushed a chair over and used it to climb up on the counter.

The next day I found him up eating Alaina's cereal. He did really well.

Then I gave him some of his own.

The kids all played with the Wii this morning. Check out the concentration!

Leo was looking for a controller.

Hope everyone is having a good week! Sorry it has taken me so long to get these all up!

Weekend With Haley and Pearson

A few weeks ago the kids and I spent a weekend down with Haley and Pearson. Here are some pictures from that weekend:

Baby Cousin Pearson

Grandpa Don reading the paper with baby cousin Pearson.

Auntie Haley and Pearson.

Now I wish that Alaina and Leo's Mom had thought to wipe the food and dirt off of their face before we started taking pictures. Because I didn't, I spent an hour or two this morning editing it out. I'm very happy that I did though!

And the best picture of the bunch!

How cute are they!!!

Leo went to the hospital for the weekend

This last Friday we took Leo to Urgent Care because he had the flu. He wound up being very dehydrated and they put him in the hospital from Friday afternoon until this afternoon. He is doing much better now. I took these pictures today when Leo wanted to walk up and down the halls of the hospital.

Alaina was sick earlier this week and we spent last weekend at Grammy and Grandpa's house so I haven't had a chance to post in a while. I'm either getting sick or just suffering from lack of sleep so I'm not going to post more now. Next time I post I'll have pictures from our visit with Grammy and Grandpa as well as some pictures from 2 weekends ago when we saw Aunt Haley and Cousin Pearson.

Thank you all for your prayers and thank you Grammy and Grandpa for coming up short notice to help watch Alaina so that Dave and I could spend all of the time that we did in the hospital with Leo. Also, while they were here Grammy cleaned my house and Grandpa got the scooter up and running for this spring. Thank you both so much for that!

Alaina's Amazing Sense of Style!

I have found Alaina in a few more outfits of her choosing at nap time:

Today she was wearing the purple dress, but found her brown tights and mis-matched socks. I guess she takes after Betsy. (I have not seen my sister Betsy in socks that match in years--even though I bought her socks for Christmas 2 years ago, all that were the same color, style, and brand on condition that she would throw away all of her other socks.)
Leo was eating. Bandit was wishful thinking.

Last Thursday the kids helped Dave work out.

Alaina and Dave were stretching. Leo was supervising.

Alaina did sit-ups on the inclined sit-up bench with Daddy and Leo's help.

Leo was helping. Really.

Alaina was helping out Daddy with his bench press. This way he didn't have to bring in all of the weights. He did three sets with Alaina and one with Leo.

Alaina had a ton of fun in the beginning and was just going up and down watching TV by the end.
Then it was Alaina's turn to bench press Daddy.

Leo helped Daddy do his cool down stretches.

The kids had a blast working out with Dave and I had a blast watching it all. This week I'll start working out with Dave again. Boy am I going to be sore!! I hate the first few days of working out.

Happy Birthday Princess!

Happy 3rd Birthday Alaina!

This is what happens when a 2 year old dresses herself...

So for the last few months, Alaina has been picking out her own outfits. If she doesn't like what she is wearing, she will dig through her closet at nap time and I'll find her in something like a swimsuit and princess knee socks. I guess she got sick of her princess dress so this is what I found her in:

And then she hammed it up for the camera:

2 nights ago, Alaina, Leo, and I went to Wal-Mart while Dave stayed home and studied. He had an exam, a quiz, and a paper due yesterday and then another exam today. Luckly, the rest of the week should be pretty smooth sailing. While we were out, the kids spent some of the money that they have recieved in cards over the last few months. We walked through the toy section until they each had picked out toys to buy with their money. Alaina picked out one of the shiney windmill things and a crown/ring/earring combo. Leo picked out 3 matchbox cars. Here is Alaina modeling her new crown, ring, and earrings.

While we were at the store, I gave each of the kids a candy bracelet. They were still eating them when we got home. Here they are checking out eachother's new toys.

Leo was driving his car over Alaina's legs and Bandit was checking out the windmill.

Leo with his matchbox firetruck.

Alaina took the hood off of Leo's winter jacket and wore it around yesterday as a hat for most of the day. Along with her princess dress, she has quite the outfit. You can't see it here, but she also has mis-matched socks on that she got out of her sock drawer during her nap.

Yesterday the dog started to go nuts barking and looking out of our back door. He was barking at the biggest deer I have ever seen. The deer stayed around long enough for me to get my camera and go outside to get a good picture.

Alaina watched through the window.

Hope you are all having a great week!
