Deana Rose Farmstead Visit

With the local MOPS group, the kids and I went to visit Deana Rose Farmstead which is pretty close to our house. It is a pretty neat place where kids learn about the family farm. But before we get to those pictures, I also have pictures of the kids painting, and Leo playing with his dinosaurs.

Here is Leo playing with his dinosaurs.

When I asked him to pick them up, he got out the broom...

The kids painted last week when Alaina was still running a fever and we had to cancel plans to go the the Kansas City Royals game. They were pretty disappointed so we painted, made kettle corn and watched a movie.

Here are the pictures from the farmstead visit.

Alaina and Leo looking at the chicks and the calfs.

Alaina with the calf in the background.

Alaina and Leo milking the big plastic cow.

And making music with the cowbell fence.

Seeing the goats. They fed these the pellet things and were able to bottle feed the baby goats.

In with the baby goats.

One of them was stepping on Leo. He was getting so mad! He just wanted to sit and pet the goat that was laying down but others kept walking by and bumping him.

And then they wanted to eat his hat...

Posing Pretty just before we left to go home and have a late nap.

The kids had a blast. They are open for about another month before they close for the winter. We definitely have to make it back again before they close and take Daddy with us.

Leo got a big boy bed!

Tonight we put up a big boy bed for Leo! The kids are still choosing to share a bedroom, so now they each have a double bed in their room. Before we put up this bed, Alaina's bed was against the back wall and Leo's bed was where Alaina's bed was. Because of that, I still need to change the Tinkerbell stuff over to above Alaina's bed, but here are some pictures so that you can get a general idea.

The beds are to the right when you walk in the door.

Here is the view from the doorway.

We kept the kids out while we put it all together, but I had the camera ready when they walked in! (I just wish I would have remembered to close the closet door!! Oops!)

Leo on his new bed.

Alaina laying by Tinkerbell.

Bandit sitting around watching it all :)

The kids between the beds.

Leo enjoying climbing around.

Alaina by her bed.

They are in bed now, but still not asleep. Hopefully tonight will go without any problems! This is the first night that Alaina has been away from the wall and the first night for Leo without side rails.

The Move!

It's the first Vikings game of the year today and the kids are suited up!

Well, the move is officially over, and we are very close to being all settled in to our new house! Now that we have internet again, I am now able to update the blog, so here are a bunch of pictures from the last month....or two....

Here is a picture of some of the neighbor kids before we left.

Alaina, Veronica, and Macalyn:

My old neighbor Ashley took the kids to the Children's Museum while I packed. I think they were tired...
Elijah, Max, and Leo
At our new house!!

Happy Birthday Dave!
Alaina picked out the ice cream cake and Leo picked out the Buzz candles.

Here are pictures from the awesome park that is a couple of blocks away from our house. The kids love the park and they have caught a few crappie in the lake behind it.

Here is a look at the lake that I took on the walk home. The playground is on the opposite side of the lake.

Alaina tucking her babies into bed.

Daddy and the kids watching a movie before bed.

I'm sure I will have more pictures as I go through more of the albums I didn't have the time to post :)

Army Family Weekend

A couple of weeks back, we went to Dave's army family weekend. It was family weekend all over post so there were a bunch of things for the kids to do.

The firemen were there and filled a camper with steam to show how you get out of a burning building. Dave went through it with Alaina.

And they had the talking dog.

And a huge petting zoo.

They both loved the animals.

The highlight of the trip was the train ride.

Dave brought both kids out front while the train was moving.

Alaina driving the train!!

Watching the scenery.

Leo (I think!) honking the horn.

And making the train go faster.

Alaina and Bethie

The kids waiting for the train to start.

And Leo getting on the train right before the ride.

It was a great weekend and the kids had a blast!
