Perfect Fall Day

Today has turned into the perfect fall day. We didn't have many nice days in October because it was chilly and rainy. Today is mid-60s and sunny. Dave and his Dad are out hunting so I took the kids to the park. They both sat still and smiled AT THE SAME TIME for me!!


A few nights ago Dave was playing on his computer while Alaina was playing on mine. That is right before she broke my cord....

The kids made pumpkin projects. Thank you Grammy and Grandpa for sending it! The kids had a blast! (Oh, you can see the house they are building behind our house in this picture.)

They loved looking at the river. The park that I brought them to is beautiful. It has a great jungle gym area and lots of room around it to run. The problem with it is that on one side is a river and the other is a busy road. And there are no fences around it. That means I have to watch them like a hawk which is hard when they run in opposite directions.

Halloween and a Hair Cut

Happy Halloween everyone! The kids had a blast. I have pictures of trick or treating and costumes, but first I have a picture of Alaina working on her "homework".

Alaina started out as a puppy.



And Leo dressed up as a lion.


We had to have a dress rehearsal on the costumes yesterday morning to make sure that they fit over winter jackets. That is Halloween in Wisconsin! They did, but Leo hated the Lion's mane so we wound up switching around the costumes. After all was said and done, Leo was the puppy and Alaina was a bat.

Here we are getting ready to head out trick or treating.





And here is the big haircut! This morning Alaina came up to me and handed me a chunk of hair. So, this is what it looks like now that it is all evened out.
