Tis the Season!

For the first time, this year we have outdoor decorations. Not that we really have a front yard to put them in, but we have made space. But before we put them up, Alaina did some climbing. Because our driveway gets plowed instead of us using a shovel or snow blower, we have this awesome, high mountain of snow lining our driveway that is perfect for climbing and sledding down. Leo climbed too, but I didn't have my camera handy while he was up there. You can tell how high it is by looking at the playhouse's red roof.

I think she is growing attached...

Thank you Grandma Anita for the gift card last Christmas that we used to buy these decorations! We all love them!

Snow Day!

On Wednesday we had a snow day! The plows didn't make it to our house until 7pm. Needless to say, we had to go around through the garage to shovel.

Since we had a snow day, Alaina and Leo had 5 of our neighbor kids over to make gingerbread houses.

Leo did more eating that decorating, but he enjoyed it and that is all that counts.

Frosting.

Hope you all are having a great weekend!

Snow Day (or night)!

First off, I have to say that I love my new camera and it's night picture capabilities!

We are in a blizzard warning right now which, in my opinion, is awesome! So Dave and I took the kids outside to play. Or, I guess, I should say, Dave played with the kids while I took pictures.

Snow Angels!

Alaina's turn on the sled.

"I have snow in my gloves!"

Leo hanging out in the garage watching Alaina and Daddy in the sled.

Alaina wanted to ride her bike, but needed Dave to help push her.

Alaina trying to fill her water gun with snow.

Determined.

Happy.

Not quite sure.

Pure joy.

Alaina building snow castles.

After we got in everyone enjoyed hot chocolate. Good thing we enjoyed it tonight because we are expecting 40 mph winds and below zero wind chills tomorrow, so I think we are staying inside!

Deck the Halls!

We put up our Christmas tree on Sunday!

My absolute favorite picture of Dave and Alaina:

Kids watching Dave put the tree together.

Bandit checking out my camera:

Dave showing Leo how to put up decorations:

"I can reach! I can reach!"
"But a chair makes this so much easier."
Leo deciding which decorations to hand to Daddy and Alaina.

The star.
The finished product.
