Happy Halloween

Here are some pictures from Halloween morning and afternoon. We took some pictures at home and then went into work with Daddy to get some pictures with the trains. Alaina was thrilled to be dressed like everyone else at Daddy's work. I'll post more pics from trick-or-treating and from the last few weeks soon. Hopefully tomorrow, but that may be optimistic. Hope everything is going well with everyone and we hope you had a great halloween! Miss you all!

Hope everyone is doing well. Everything is going well here. It is still terribly hot (90s) every day and there is no sign of the cool front that they were predicting. I, for one, can't wait for fall weather.

Work has been busy for Dave lately. He is working 2nd shift and worked through last weekend. We are hoping he will get some of next weekend off. It looks like he will have Sunday off and he may have Saturday off as well. I know Alaina is ready for him to be home all day. I am too.

Hey everyone! Things are starting to cool off down here finally. We are in the lower 90s right now, but were in the 70s and 80s yesterday and the day before. Here are some of the newest pictures....

I was in the kitchen making dinner and found Alaina with all of the bananas out and half eaten. She climbed up on the couch and was able to reach the counter where all of the bananas are. Bananas are now one of her favorate foods. She tries to say banana and it is too cute. Grammy Johnston taught her how to sign banana and she now signs it even when she tries to say it.



Here are pictures of Alaina in her new dress that Aunt Haley bought her. She was running away from me the whole time I was trying to take her picture.

We had our ultrasound today and found out that the baby is a boy! What a birthday present for Dave! Here are a few of the pictures that were taken. I don't have a scanner, so this is the best I can do.

Big Girl Bed!!

Hey everyone! How are you all doing?? Sorry we haven't posted f0r so long. I just took the new pictures off of the camera and put them on the computer, so I thought I would post a few of them. Alaina is doing great. We just put up her big girl bed this morning because she decided to climb out of her crib yesterday during a nap. Bandit is doing well and is almost house-broken. Dave has been busy working. He worked all of last weekend and we were very happy to find out that he has this weekend off. I am doing well. Pregnancy, a one year old, and a puppy are wearing me out, but I wouldn't trade any of it. Texas is really hot! We don't have a day in our forcast that isn't over 100, but many of you are getting hot weather as well. Well, here are the new pictures. Hope you enjoy!




Here is Alaina sleeping in her crib for one of the last times. She had been sleeping for quite a while so Dave went up to check on her and found her cuddling with her dolls. It was too cute not to get a picture!

Dave just got a new hat for the army so Alaina got his old one. She wears it around the house daily. Whenever she puts it on she says, "Pretty."

Alaina has learned how to flip over our ottoman. It is her and Bandit's favorite hangout spot now.

After seeing me on our exercise ball, Alaina followed suit and has been sitting on her bouncy ball. If her feet would only reach the floor, she would fall a lot less!

This is Alaina's brand new room! We picked out the bed and then she picked out the sheets and comforter set. We got quite a few odd looks during the process of having Alaina pick out her own design. I guess she looks to little to have an opinion. You don't have to be around her long to realize she definitely has a mind of her own though!

Well, it is just about time for Alaina's nap (first time sleeping in the new bed!!) so I'm going to go and say goodnight. Dave and Alaina are looking forward to seeing quite a few of you soon! Miss you all! Bye!

Weekend in San Antonio

Hey Everyone! We just got back from a wonderful trip to San Antonio to visit Laura, Josh, and Bonnie (who was visiting for the week). We went to Sea World on Saturday with them which is what inspired me to try this great blue font color that reminds me of all of the water. Luckly, most of the water we saw was at Sea World in their tanks and very little was in the form of rain!

We made it to San Antonio a day earlier than we planned so we could make it to Sea World before it was supposed to rain. We made it there early, but fortunately the rain waited another day to show up giving us a gorgeous day to spend outside. Alaina loved all of the animals there and watched the entire Shamu show. I was very impressed with her. Dave and Alaina had a caricature picture drawn of them there. It Turned out awesome! I will take a picture of it and post it after I have had a good night sleep.

Sunday we went to an awesome Mexican restaurant and spent quite a bit of time in the pool. Alaina loved it and we all had a blast.

Anyway, here are the pictures. Hope you all had as good of a weekend as we did!





This picture was taken late last week. Alaina was outside and just enjoying the views.

Alaina has started to walk Bandit around. He follows her everywhere. It works great until he gets impatient and starts running circles around her and tangles her up. They both wind up on the ground and usually Alaina is getting attacked with kisses.

Here we are at Sea World again. (Thus the font color..) Dave and Alaina are getting their caricature drawn. Alaina got really squirmy until Josh started playing peek-a-boo behind the artists head with her. I will post a picture of the completed caracature soon and more pictures from Sea World.

Alaina was taking a break on Sunday from the pool and hanging out eating Ritz crackers on the table. We have some more cute pictures from the pool and I will post them with the Sea World pictures next time. I just have to fininsh editing them.

While we were at Laura and Josh's house earlier today, Bonnie wanted to take a family picture of Dave, Alaina, Bandit, and I. I am very impressed with her photography skills! This is the second phenomenal family picture that she has taken for us! I believe we are going to blow this up and use it as our latest family picture! Thank you again Bonnie!

Well, I believe it is about time for me to go to sleep. Alaina fell asleep while I was holding her at 7:15 tonight so who knows how long it will last for! Hope you all sleep well!

Big Week

Well, we have had a very big last week. The puppy is getting bigger and Alaina has had a lot going on. She had her 15mo checkup and shots. Dave took her to the appointment by himself for the first time. She got two shots and had her finger pricked for a blood count. She didn't like it at all. The shots werent bad, but she screamed for the blood draw. Read on to see more of her week.

She got a bubble bath. This was to help her legs after the shots. She had some swelling and warm water for about 20 minutes was supposed to help. I dont know how much it helped, but she loved the bath.




Here is mommies little helper. Wendy was dusting in the living room and Alaina wanted to help out. She did a pretty good job of helping, but did put fingerprints all over the tv stand.

Alaina was walking around with Dave's blue polo shirt on her head, so he decided to put it on her. She had a lot of fun playing with him for the next few minutes with his shirt on.

This morning Alaina just wanted to lay next to Bandit. She kept trying to go into his dog bed when he was in it. Finally she was able to get him to stay in his bed when she joined him and this is the result.

Alaina's New Best Friend

We have been very busy over the last week, since we got Bandit. We have had a lot of fun with him and Alaina really loves him. Here are a few pictures of Alaina and Bandit playing together. One of the things we couldn't get on film was of Alaina chasing Bandit around the living room. Sometimes he would let her catch him and others he would run around things and get away. We will try to keep up with some more pictures with the two of them as they come in.

So, today we picked up our new pug puppy. He is 6 weeks old and we named him Bandit. Alaina still calls him Brett (my parents' dog's name) but I am sure she will learn eventually. I'll post pics of him with Alaina soon. Bye!

The last few months

Hey everyone!

Now that I know I can get this blogger to work, I am going to post a couple of things that I have wanted to but not been able to post. I think I mentioned in the last post that I had a hard time posting a few months ago and after several tries gave up. Dave fixed everything now so I am able to post again.

Everything has been going well for us lately. Our biggest new news is that we are expecting baby #2. I am due January 1st 2008, but have slim hopes for the first baby of the year seeing as Alaina came 2 weeks early. Dave and I are both really excited and we will tell you more when we know more.

Here are a few pictures that I have wanted to post but wasn't able to. They may be a little older, but I figured you wouldn't mind seeing a few extra pictures of Alaina.
