It's snowing outside....in Madison

It is snowing outside in Madison but beautiful, sunny, and in the 60's here. (aren't you jealous??) Because of all of the snow, Grandma Jan gets to stay down here longer. Right now we aren't sure if she is staying until Friday or Saturday, but it is nice to have her longer either way. Even though sunny and 60's probably sounds like great weather for the northerners reading this post, it was a bit chilly to be playing outside for long today (it has been near 80 here) so we went to Wazoo's instead of the park. Wazoo's is this great indoor play area that has a bunch of the blow up toys for kids to jump around in. We just heard about it last month even though it is only about 5 minutes away from our house. Dave has brought Alaina and she loves it.

Alaina and the baby are now asleep (hopefully for a while). I think that all of the running really tired her out. When we aren't running, Alaina is doing a lot of cuddling. She comes up with her baby and blanket asking to cuddle. Grandma is really enjoying holding both Grand-babies. We are looking forward to later this month when Grandma and Grandmpa Johnston are coming down to cuddle with babies!! Anyway, here are some of the latest pictures...

Alaina pulled down the blanket and pillows herself to cuddle up with her baby and bottle. It was so cute that she made up a bed to cuddle in.

Alaina wanted to hold her brother. As soon as I set him down he started to fuss, but Alaina quieted him down by rubbing his chest and saying "shhh". Her mothering instinct amazes me. She is so good with him.

Leo took a nap on the couch this morning before we went to Wazoo's. I know I have way too many pictures of him sleeping, but I can't resist. He is too cute! He is looking more and more like Alaina did at that age each day.

Here is Alaina at Wazoo's. There were a few other kids there her age and she played really well with them. We stayed for about an hour and a half before she started to get crabby. We may go again later today after her nap. It is a great spot for her to run and climb without getting in trouble. Hopefully this burned off a little steam for the next couple of days. If she goes too long without running around outside or at a place like this, she goes stir crazy. Dave will be back in 3 days to run her around more.

Speaking of Dave, it sounds like he is having a really good time in Virginia. He just took his final test, which he aced, and he has the top score in his class. We are all so anxious for him to get home! It won't be long now.

Miss you all!
